Today is the day!

I'm quickly posting for yesterday and today. My bus leaves at 9 AM and my plane takes off at 11:25. There are two planes taking the whole group. There are so many of us that every time I turn around I meet someone new. This is SO exciting. Hopefully we'll have a smooth flight over. This is the flight I really would have loved first class, but overseas flights are usually pretty good. I'll check in as soon as I can. Sayonara!

Hi Anne!

So glad you got on a flight to San Francisco! Thank goodness the shuttle bus was able to get to Chicago. First Class - lucky you!

Hey Anne,
I am very impressed with your Blog. This is very cool and it will be neat to check in and see how things are going. Today went well.... we had a 3rd grade party since you weren't here today:) J/K It was rainy again but we still got to have both recesses. Well I am back to work on Dicks video. I will talk to you again soon. Glad to hear you got to the airport and were able to take off.

おはよう!
I was visiting my Mom last night and it suddenly occurred to me ... you were already on your way to Japan! According to the time clock on your site, it is still the wee hours of Wednesday morning. That means this will be your first full day in Japan ... bet you never had miso soup, fish and rice for breakfast before! But based on my experience, 30 years ago, it's better to go with the Japanese breakfast. The western style ones were their version of our food. (The eggs and milk tasted different ... I can't really explain why.) Besides, "when in Rome ...", right? Have fun today!
